Peterborough-based Encasement has achieved Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) Chain of Custody (CoC) certification following a detailed assessment from leading accreditation body, BM TRADA. The company specialises in the supply of decorative casing and protection products for the architectural, contracting and construction sectors.

Martin Taylor, Encasement’s managing director, commented: “The use of products that are sustainable, energy efficient or can be readily recycled has already gained significant momentum in the UK construction industry and the fact that we can now offer products manufactured from timber originating from well managed sources makes it easier for specifiers to comply with regulations when selecting casing products for specific projects.”

The FSC certification, awarded by BM TRADA, covers pure, mixed and recycled product classifications for the wood used in the manufacture of all plywood products in Encasement’s range.
