Builders' merchant Jewson has published a guide to sustainable building, aiming to explain all the key products, solutions, incentives and legislation for both newbuild and refurbishment projects. MD Peter Hindle explained: "Education is fundamental to the success of the green building agenda and Jewson has such a diverse and extensive customer base in the UK, we recognise the valuable contribution we can make by providing manageable advice on the latest legislation and training procedures."

The Sustainable Building Guide clearly sets out the different solutions that can help to make a home more sustainable and emphasises the economic benefits for both builder and homeowner, whether this is from a faster installation time or reduced energy bills. There are sections on Government funding such as the Renewable Heat Incentive (RHI) as well as all types of construction material, from bricks to roof trusses. The guide is available in Jewson branches from today, or can be downloaded from the website.
