The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB) is asking for built environment professionals with big ideas to enter its international innovation and research awards. There are seven award categories to choose from, one of which is sustainable innovation.

Earlier this year CIOB launched an online research and funding database that connects the industry with funding opportunities across Europe, estimating that UK construction alone can currently access over £500 million worth of funding.

Entry for this year’s competition closes on 1 July 2011. Winners will be announced on 4th October at BRE’s Insite11
