Interactive sessions will be available on a range of key topics including sustainability, building regulations and legislation, ecology and social media. The course's lead tutor, Kirsten Henson of KLH Sustainability, has a wealth of experience in delivering sustainability in construction. She combines a sound civil engineering background with a detailed practical understanding of sustainability to deliver exceptional results. The course content draws on her extensive experience of delivering sustainability on the Olympic Park in London and utilises tangible examples of sustainability in practice.
Kirsten commented: ''Sustainability is an often-used term. It's a term that is not always understood and one that is even less likely to be reflected in business practices. Yet sustainability is rising on the political agenda, both at a local and global scale and is a key requirement in the design and construction industries. Smarter businesses are recognising that integrating sustainability into their daily practices can lead to increased efficiencies and contribute to economic stability and growth in a challenging market place. This session can go a long way to achieving that.''
