    SMEs could benefit from free Green Deal workshops

Free Green Deal up-skilling for East England SMEs

Small and medium sized businesses are being offered free mentoring and Green Deal up-skilling by carbon reduction agency Climate Energy. SustainaBuild will provide 180 businesses in the East of England with guidance, showcases and workshops.

The £2.2m project, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, will create 20 jobs and safeguard another 20 roles in the construction sector.

Andrew Holmes, managing director of Climate Energy, said: "Whether you're a plumber, builder, surveyor, roofer or involved with any other trade in the construction sector, Green Deal offers something for everyone, and SustainaBuild will enable businesses in the area to be fully prepared for its launch."

One to one consultancy, a guided low carbon retrofit of sheltered housing , workshops and an online portal featuring case studies, practical guides, forums and partnership and mentoring opportunities.
